Marvel's Spider-Man 2 shows a strong week in Japan. Only one new release at the top of sales

Recently, Tekken 8, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Palworld, and Enshrouded were released, winning the hearts and wallets of gamers. But in Japan, the situation is developing much more slowly, as evidenced by last week's game sales results.

Only one fresh game appeared in the top ten. The rest – releases that came out weeks and months ago, though not without surprises.

Game sales in Japan (15.01 - 21.01):

  1. [PS5] Marvel's Spider-Man 2 - 30,220 (total: 243,612)

There is no talk of a buying frenzy. But it is worth mentioning that Momotaro Dentetsu World is approaching one million copies in the country. And Spider-Man 2 from Insomniac Games soared to first place. It is not every week that a PS5 game takes the top spot.
