NVIDIA recently opened access to the RTX Remix tools, which allow creating a quick remaster of some game. Experimenters have reached the famous Grand Theft Auto San Andreas as well.
GTA San Andreas has been updated, featuring improved textures and lighting, and high-quality reflections can also be spotted. However, one should not expect a “flawless” execution: visual artifacts appear during the showcase, and after firing, the muzzle flash effect “sticks” to the gun barrel. The lighting doesn’t work very well in some places, and visibility can sometimes be quite poor, such as in the pizzeria scene at 17:20.
