Call of Duty will come to Xbox Game Pass! Phil Spencer confirmed this, pointing to this goal as one of those Microsoft is working on.
During a lengthy and detailed interview with Game File, the Xbox boss touched upon several topics. One of the most interesting for fans concerns the possibility of new and older Call of Duty titles arriving on the Xbox subscription service following the acquisition of Activision Blizzard.
Phil Spencer explained:
“Our goal is to launch the full catalog of games from ZeniMax, Activision Blizzard, and Xbox Game Studios on Xbox Game Pass on day one.”
In the case of Call of Duty, things are more complicated despite it being part of the Activision Blizzard family of games. Xbox Game Pass has not yet received a single installment in the franchise, and as for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Call of Duty 2024, there is no indication that they will be added to the service’s library in the near future. Moreover, Xbox itself anticipated that reaching this milestone would take time.
However, after the announcement of Diablo 4 coming to Xbox Game Pass, this cannot be ruled out.
