Suicide Squad update introduces a critical bug capable of completely locking the game

It seems the Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League team overdid it while trying to fix accumulated issues

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League recently received an update. The team at Rocksteady Studios attempted to fix a number of bugs and issues, but something in the process clearly went wrong.

The issue is that after installing the update, some players discovered that Suicide Squad can lock up entirely: victims of the new critical bug find themselves trapped in an infinite loading loop. As an experiment, one player left the game running and went for a workout. Upon returning, nothing had changed, and the loading screen persisted (about 2 hours had passed). Quitting and restarting the game does not always resolve the issue.

Judging by posts from Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League community members, some were lucky enough to avoid this critical bug and continue playing normally.

It is not entirely clear what exactly happened to the game. The developers mentioned that the patch was also intended to address login issues and improve performance.

The player count for Rocksteady Studios’ game continues to decline: while Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League peaked above 13,000 players at launch, it now sits at just over 1,000.
