Genshin Impact fans have noticed that “Hoyo” (HoYoverse // miHoYo) registered a new project with the government. Simultaneously, an account with the same name appeared on Bilibili (a platform similar to YouTube).
As reported, the project is titled <星布谷地> (direct English translation: Starry Sky Valley or “Valley of the Starry Sky”).
It is assumed that this is the very “life simulator from the creators of Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail” that rumors and various leaks have periodically mentioned. According to them, it will be a game in the vein of Animal Crossing.
It is not yet entirely clear when HoYoverse might unveil the presumed new project — the urban action RPG Zenless Zone Zero is also currently in the works, with a release expected in 2024.
Those familiar with Genshin and HSR are already building various theories regarding how a hypothetical “Animal Crossing counterpart” might be monetized. For instance, limited-edition furniture collections could be sold through gacha mechanics, or players could pull NPC villagers from the gacha that grant certain bonuses.
