A technician from the northwestrepair YouTube channel shared the story of resurrecting a graphics card. He received a patient in the form of an NVIDIA RTX 3090.
The NVIDIA RTX 3090 fell victim to liquid metal — at first it seemed dead. However, in reality, it turned out that it was “not completely dead”.
Northwestrepair performed cleaning, reballing (a method of “healing” chips by replacing solder balls), replacement of memory chips (VRAM) and the graphics processing unit (GPU).
As a result, the NVIDIA RTX 3090 was brought back to life, and the client received a working graphics card that will continue to serve them.
