According to the profile of Nyasha Karata, lead gameplay programmer at Arkane Studios, the studio is developing Marvel's Blade on the Void Engine, using C++ as the primary programming language.
Karata is responsible for designing and implementing gameplay mechanics, systems, and features for Marvel's Blade. He collaborates with designers to turn creative ideas into functional gameplay systems.
This is not confirmation that the Void Engine is being used to develop Marvel's Blade, nor is it the first mention of it in the resume of a developer working on the game at Arkane Lyon. The studio previously worked with the Void Engine on Dishonored 2 and Deathloop. There is no indication that the team has abandoned the engine in favor of an alternative such as Unreal Engine 5.
Earlier, the LinkedIn profile of Dana Nightingale, campaign director for Marvel's Blade at Arkane Studios Lyon, revealed that development of the game began in early January 2022. Nightingale leads the level design team.
