Starfield is the only single-player game to make the top 10 games by monthly active users

According to a recent report by Newzoo, Bethesda Game Studios’ Starfield became the only single-player game of last year and the only new IP to make the top 10 by average monthly active users.

The rest of the games were either multiplayer titles or live-service games, making the new space RPG one of a kind. Fortnite took the top spot among them, followed by the usual industry dominants.

The remaining spots were taken by multiplayer games: GTA 5, Counter-Strike 2, Roblox, Minecraft, and others. Starfield was an exception. Even other single-player hits of last year, such as Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and Baldur's Gate 3, are nowhere to be seen across the PC, PlayStation, and Xbox ecosystems. On the other hand, the Switch has several exclusive single-player titles that made the top ten.
