Cyberpunk 2077 had an impressive marketing campaign and big plans before release. However, something went wrong after that.
The launch of Cyberpunk 2077 version 1.0 was far from smooth — PC and console players were greeted by a massive number of bugs, and in some areas, the game failed to meet the expectations of those who closely followed the promotional materials. CD Projekt RED spent several years fixing the game, but a full-fledged multiplayer mode along the lines of GTA Online never materialized.
Nevertheless, some fans still wanted to see a multiplayer mode for Cyberpunk 2077. One enthusiast decided to try building something similar on their own using available tools.
The creator of the CyberMP project stresses that he is not experienced, but rather an “amateur developer”. His mod runs on RED4ext and a standard networking library.
