Some have already decided that the Helldivers 2 controversy was put to rest after Sony announced mandatory linking to PlayStation Network services. Players responded with refund requests and review-bombing both this game and many other PlayStation projects. As a result, this plan was shelved (at least for now).
Back then, Helldivers 2 was pulled from sale on Steam in 170+ countries — where PSN services are not officially available. However, after the so-called “community victory,” the game was not returned to these regions.
The restricted users are trying to draw the attention of the rest of the Helldivers 2 community to their issue — the game was blocked across many markets, including Kazakhstan, which had become a “new home” for some gamers from Russia.
It is not yet completely clear when Helldivers 2 will return to sale in the “sanctioned” regions (or if they will do so at all).
To attract attention, some affected players are creating promo images with Helldivers 2 visuals.
