Homeworld 3 was recently released. The franchise returned after more than 20 years, but far from everyone is pleased — the game has mixed reviews on Steam, and in terms of its rating, the project is publisher Gearbox Publishing's worst PC release on Valve's service.
Some criticize the gameplay, while others point out various elements of the “agenda” — there is a belief that the game features specific moments created to pander to modern activists.
One Steam user took notice of this and simply decided to ask directly. The gamer reached out to the Homeworld 3 developers via the Steam community forum and inquired whether they were collaborating with Sweet Baby Inc.
Shortly thereafter, a ban notification appeared. Judging by the screenshot provided, the ban is formally linked to the fact that “this message contains racist or discriminatory content that may lead to arguments, rule violations, and other unconstructive replies”.
