In 2024, Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin is back in the spotlight. TOHO Animation has decided to present an anime adaptation of the hybrid role-playing game and farming simulator; the events of the original project were set in a world populated by demons.

P.A.WORKS is in charge of producing the anime based on “Tensui no Sakuna-hime”, previously known for: “Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms” (Sayonara no Asa ni Yakusoku no Hana wo Kazarou), “Shirobako”, and “Hanasaku Iroha”.
