In 2024, Yacht Club Games reminded everyone about the Shovel Knight franchise. A full-fledged new entry in the series and more are currently in development.
According to the creators, they aim not only to craft a game that will honor Shovel Knight’s legacy, but also to deliver innovative gameplay mechanics.
They are not ready to go into details just yet, but noted that the new game is “not just another sequel,” but a bold new adventure that will launch the Shovel Knight franchise into an entirely new gaming dimension.
Yacht Club Games did not stop at this announcement; they also showcased a remaster, Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope DX. This version of the game will feature a couple dozen playable characters, multiplayer, a “rewind” mechanic, and more.

They also announced DLCs for several games across the franchise: the Paradox Pack for Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon, and Wicked Wishes for Shovel Knight Dig.
