Shareholders will receive 1.00 PLN per share, representing 20% of the company’s net profit of 481.1 million PLN (around $119 million). The remaining amount will be transferred to a reserve fund that the company can utilize if necessary.
The largest amounts will be paid to the following shareholders:
- Marcin Iwiński, co-founder (stepped down as CEO in 2022), will receive 12.8 million PLN ($3.16 million)
- Michał Kiciński, co-founder, will receive 9.57 million PLN ($2.36 million)
- Piotr Nielubowicz, Chief Financial Officer, will receive 6.85 million PLN ($1.69 million)
- Adam Kiciński, Chief Strategy Officer, will receive 4 million PLN ($988 thousand)
- Adam Badowski and Michał Nowakowski, Joint CEOs, will receive 692,600 and 580,200 PLN respectively ($170.9 and $143.3 thousand).
While these figures are impressive, they are significantly lower than those of other gaming giants. Electronic Arts, for example, paid its executives over $60 million, with CEO Andrew Wilson receiving more than $25.6 million (including base salary, other benefits, and $20.3 million in stock), despite numerous layoffs across the company.
It is worth noting that dividends are directly linked to the company’s success. In 2021, dividends were considerably higher at $124 million, driven by record sales of Cyberpunk 2077.
The declared dividends testify to CD Projekt’s strong financial standing, despite the challenges facing the company.
