EA Sports claims that FC IQ impacts gameplay across every mode, including Career Mode, Clubs, and Ultimate Team. FC IQ will give players greater control over team tactics, allowing for fluid and flexible systems that can be adjusted on the fly during a match.
A particularly interesting addition under the broader FC IQ system is Player Roles, familiar to anyone who has played Football Manager. Beyond positions, players can now be assigned various roles, with different players having varying degrees of suitability for specific roles.
Several other gameplay improvements have also been confirmed, including the introduction of tactical fouls, enhancements to HyperMotion technology, new PlayStyles (including for goalkeepers), new skill moves, presentation visual upgrades, and much more.
The video has more dislikes than likes, as commenters say they are once again being sold the exact same game. According to players, the improvements are so minor that only fans deeply invested in the project will notice them.
EA Sports FC 25 will be released on September 27, 2024, on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
