Recently, Paradox Interactive cancelled Life by You. Now, the community’s attention is focused on Prison Architect 2.
The release date has already been pushed back several times, and the developer was even replaced, and now Prison Architect 2 has been delayed once again — this time indefinitely, as they will be assessing the scope of work ahead.
Paradox Interactive has begun refunding pre-orders and explained:
“...We are eager to show you all the new features: the transition to 3D, multi-floor building, and the updated behavior system, which will open up new possibilities and bring an added dimension to the game. But we want to ensure the game lives up to the franchise's legacy. It needs to satisfy both the players and the Prison Architect 2 teams at Kokku and Paradox Interactive.
At this stage, we can't commit to a new release date, as we need to re-assess the scope of work needed. Over the next few months, we will focus on improving the game and building a clearer timeline. This also means we'll be limiting our communication until we have confirmed a timeline we feel confident about”.
