Final weeks before the brutal invasion. MechWarrior 5: Clans gameplay unveiled

Until now, MechWarrior 5: Clans has been promoted through videos focusing on its story component. Now Piranha Games has moved on to demonstrating gameplay.

The transition to a new engine version has benefited the game. MechWarrior 5: Clans looks attractive, and if the developers manage to maintain the graphical quality at release with the same number of concurrently active units (the player’s squad will feature up to five mechs), there is a chance that a hit awaits players. The biggest question is the frame rate, which was an issue in Mercenaries across all platforms.

In addition to battles, the video shows the biggest new feature in Clans—a tactical screen that resembles those in real-time strategy games. On this screen, you can give precise orders to your squad members and monitor the progress of battle during missions.

MechWarrior 5: Clans will be released on October 3, 2024, on PC, PS5, and XSX.
