The team behind the remake of the first Gothic visited Gamescom 2024. As it turned out, many people want to experience the updated “Gothic”.
In the game’s official community, a selection of photos from the Gothic remake booth was published — to get a taste of the project, people are willing to wait. Even though the expo has been running for several days, there are still plenty of interested visitors, forming “hours-long queues”:
“Today is already the 4th day of the expo, and the waiting line for the ‘Gothic Remake’ booth is 4+ hours! A big thank you to everyone who comes!”
This demo version is built on the current build; players have the opportunity to explore an abandoned mine and test out the underwater diving mechanics.
The release date of the remake of the first Gothic is still up in the air. Various content creators are publishing new gameplay footage online.
