PlayStation fans are asking to bring back the Uncharted series

The PlayStation gaming community has voiced a desire for the Uncharted series to return to new consoles. A popular thread on Reddit garnered over 5,100 upvotes and 1,300 comments.

While The Last of Us, another creation of Naughty Dog, remains popular, many gamers feel that its serious tone cannot replace the lightness and joy of Uncharted's gameplay. As one commenter put it: “Uncharted is a light and enjoyable adventure game that is sometimes simply essential, especially on PS5.”

The discussion spilled over to other gaming forums, where suggestions for a spin-off or a reboot of the series were voiced. The success of The Lost Legacy starring Chloe Frazer proved that the Uncharted formula can work even without Nathan Drake as the main protagonist.

Despite the apparent demand, Naughty Dog has not announced any plans to return to the Uncharted series. The studio is currently focused on other projects, including a potentially new IP. But the persistent interest from fans demonstrates the strength of the franchise and its place in the hearts of PlayStation gamers.

Regardless of whether a new installment in the series is released in the near future, the discussion shows that Uncharted remains one of the most beloved franchises in PlayStation history.
