Fallout 76 received a $2,000 DLC. Bethesda surprised with its pricing policy

Fallout 76 has been supported for many years. Sometimes monetization surprises even seasoned players.

Fallout 76 is a premium live-service game with an in-game store as well as add-ons. Sometimes Bethesda can surprise with its pricing.

Recently, users noticed an add-on for Fallout 76 in the store priced at 2,000 dollars (or 1,700 with a discount). It is assumed to be a simple mistake, yet players did not completely rule out “a little greed”:

“I assume that is supposed to be 1,700 Atoms [premium in-game currency] not dollars. But knowing Bethesda, that could still be dollars.”

Pricing “glitches” have previously been observed in the Microsoft store, so there is a high probability of a simple error when listing the item.

(Australian dollars, which is about 2,000 US dollars)
