Frostpunk 2 was released exclusively on PC, but also joined the ranks of PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate. In the future, the project will reach consoles, and after its launch on Xbox Series X|S, it can also be expected on Xbox Game Pass.
The latest game from Polish studio 11 bit studios can already be considered another success for the Polish team. The project received an 86% on Metacritic after 64 reviews and reached a peak of 27,182 concurrent players on Steam.
The game is set in 1917, 30 years after the conclusion of the first installment. The world froze due to an inexplicable climate catastrophe that forced humanity to fight for survival. The few survivors formed cities and settlements around generators, massive structures that burn coal and produce heat. One such city was New London — a habitat that managed to survive resource shortages, interpersonal conflicts, and a cataclysm called the “Great Storm”.
Reviewers unanimously praise the progression of Frostpunk 2 and the development of many concepts.
