Well-known Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier shared on the IGN Unlocked podcast that he spoke with various people at Blizzard to gather material for his new book. During these conversations, he learned that a new StarCraft is in development.
The project has not been announced yet, but it is not the survival game cancelled by Microsoft, but rather a shooter set in the StarCraft universe that is in early development.
The team at Blizzard is led by Dan Hay, a veteran of the Far Cry series, but Schreier has not shared anything more specific yet.
