Sony prohibited millions of players in more than 170 countries from purchasing the Horizon Zero Dawn remaster due to PSN requirement in a single-player game

Sony PlayStation's recent PC policy is quite peculiar. Far from all countries will officially be able to appreciate the return of Horizon Zero Dawn in an updated format.

Horizon Zero Dawn will soon return in an updated format. Sony recently opened the Steam page for the project Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered and is accepting pre-orders.

Although Horizon Zero Dawn is a single-player game, the new version requires linking to PSN. The service is not available in ~170 countries, so millions of players are simply cut off from the opportunity to purchase it; this problem is also relevant to players from Kazakhstan — Sony does not sell games in countries without PSN support yet.

The launch of Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered is expected on October 31, 2024.
