David Jaffe, the creator of God of War and Twisted Metal, regularly comments on industry news and releases. Earlier this week, he shared that thanks to Bloober Team, he had the chance to play Silent Hill 2 for the first time in his life. After several hours of play, Jaffe admitted that he really enjoyed the remake.
His impressions after fully completing Silent Hill 2 Remake became even better—the God of War creator thanked Bloober Team and Konami for a great game. In his view, it is one of the best games of the year, and arguably the best horror game ever made.
“So, it took me 25 hours to beat SILENT HILL 2 REMAKE. I look forward to talking about it on stream, making a review video, and a deeper dive video. But let me just say:
#1- Hands down, one of the best games of the year. Obviously.
#2- Arguably the best horror game ever made.
#3- Goes on too long.
#4- I don’t understand much of it. Maybe that’s the point, as it feels layered, deep, and full of metaphors. OR it could just be ‘weird=scary’, which would suck. I need a bit more time to process.
