Square Enix will simultaneously release more games on all platforms. Fantasian is the first such project

In an interview, Square Enix producer Naoki Yoshida was asked which platform would have the largest player base for Fantasian: Neo Dimension. In response, he said that the Switch would most likely be the most popular, as the game is well-suited for handheld devices and easy to play.

Yoshida mentioned that Square Enix is also targeting a younger audience and hopes that it will be popular on Switch. However, he also noted that he wants people to play Fantasian: Neo Dimension on other platforms as well.

Square Enix will also release the Xbox Series X|S version of Fantasian: Neo Dimension simultaneously with other platforms. According to Yoshida, Square Enix will simultaneously release more games across all platforms in the future, and this is somewhat of a first step in that direction.

When asked which classic game he would like to see re-released as a remake or remaster, Yoshida said that, as a fan of Yasumi Matsuno’s work, he would like Vagrant Story and Final Fantasy Tactics to come to modern platforms. While he is not particularly interested in remakes and remasters, he simultaneously believes that classic games should stand the test of time.
