In 2024, Silent Hill 2 returned as a remake. The Bloober Team game pleased many, but for some players, standard Russian text translation was not enough, and demand arose for a voice-over.
In early October, GamesVoice launched a fundraiser for a Russian voice-over for the Silent Hill 2 remake. Thanks to the community, the required amount was raised.
GamesVoice addressed players:
“GamesVoice studio is pleased to announce that fundraising for the Russian voice-over of Silent Hill 2 has been successfully completed! This means that work on the project is moving into active production — very soon we intend to begin recording the actors, and we hope to surprise you with our cast choices. The final result will be presented for your judgment in just a matter of months, or even weeks.
We thank everyone involved for their invaluable support! This is another brilliant victory of yours, and we will do everything in our power to live up to the faith placed in us. Just as we always do.”
