Speedrunner sets world record in NFS Most Wanted (2005) using Gordon Freeman's body as a race car

Need for Speed Most Wanted (2005) continues to attract players. Some carry out the most unexpected experiments.

The Need for Speed franchise keeps evolving, but some gamers remain passionate about a single installment —  Need for Speed Most Wanted (2005). To this day, speedrun time chases continue to unfold in the classic racing game. There are various categories, including some quite unexpected ones, such as one tied to a famous character from games by Valve.

Recently, a gamer’s record went viral across the gaming community. The speedrunner did not just set an impressive time in Need for Speed Most Wanted (2005) — the way he did it is equally impressive.

The thing is, an enthusiast going by the nickname Jeepy decided to play Need for Speed Most Wanted (2005) using someone else instead of an ordinary race car — Gordon Freeman from the Half-Life franchise.

From the player’s perspective, everything looks as if they are controlling Gordon in Need for Speed Most Wanted (2005), with the character holding a crowbar. Movement physics from Half-Life 2 have been integrated into the race; the local “Gordon-mobile” leaves tire marks and is extremely “bouncy”.

Completing Need for Speed Most Wanted (2005) in this mode took the racer 4 hours 50 minutes and 8.57 seconds.
