The game has received the Second Act patch, which includes:
- A major graphical overhaul
- 2 new biomes
- 2 new bosses
- A new story act + numerous fixes for Act 1
- 5 new enemies
- Difficulty balance adjustments
- Numerous gameplay quality-of-life additions, such as save points and automatic soul ash/gold leveling
- German, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish localizations

Evil Empire stated that next year it will not only continue developing the game, but also raise its price. This will happen in January, while the exact date and increase amount will be announced in December. The developers believe that the amount of content already in The Rogue Prince of Persia justifies the higher price tag.
In the near future, players can expect many minor content tweaks, the conclusion of the storyline, as well as the addition of the final boss and new biomes.
