The 100 best PC games of all time named according to Rock Paper Shotgun editors

Rock Paper Shotgun has named the top 100 PC games of all time, based on the editors’ picks. There are no Nintendo exclusives on the list.

The editorial team states that this list represents 100 games of the highest quality, and a testament to the PC’s staying power is the inclusion of both a game released 34 years ago and the newest one, which is just a few months old.

The top ten is as follows:

  1. Minecraft
  2. Baldur's Gate 3
  3. Elden Ring
  4. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
  5. Subnutica
  6. Dark Souls
  7. Mass Effect: Legendary Edition
  8. Yakuza 0
  9. Fallout 3: New Vegas
  10. Team Fortress 2

It should be understood that the editorial team consists of eight people who could hardly have played every PC game. Therefore, the list does not include some major franchises. Or perhaps their existence was simply forgotten.
