How does the power supply work in GTA 5? A blogger traced the wire network and reached the initial power generation point

Rockstar Games is known for its attention to detail. One enthusiast wondered how the power supply is set up in the world of GTA 5.

The creator of the YouTube channel Any Austin continues to conduct gaming investigative studies. This time, the blogger focused his attention on Grand Theft Auto 5.

He became interested in how the power supply is organized in GTA 5. He embarked on a journey across the Rockstar Games world to find out where the energy comes from and whether there is some kind of “generator” at the end.

As it turned out, Rockstar really did provide power generation sources: ultimately, the researcher arrived at an area featuring both “green” and “dirty” energy elements.

Nevertheless, calling it an “ideal implementation” is a stretch — Any Austin brought in an engineer who explained that although the substations designed by Rockstar might look fine from afar, “upon closer inspection it turns out that, at least from an electrical engineering perspective, it is complete nonsense.”

For example: several transformers were installed at the substation, but there are no radiators or transformer oil that would be used to cool them; several important details were also omitted on the transformers themselves (there is an input, but no output — the required parts “drawn in” by the engineer are highlighted in red; they were not there originally).

Some GTA 5 fans joke that Rockstar might see the video and intentionally design the power grid in Grand Theft Auto 6 in high detail just to respond to Any Austin.
