Dr Disrespect, famous for his Call of Duty streams, recently shared his opinion on the social network X:
“Call of Duty is so bad that the only reason to keep playing is friends.”
The post garnered more than 3,000 likes in a few hours, and many followers agreed, blaming Activision for the poor integration of the new Warzone and the declining quality of the game. Problems with servers, cheaters, lag, and the oversimplification of gameplay are driving a massive exodus of players.
Nadeshot, a former professional player and owner of the 100 Thieves organization, released a YouTube video titled “Call of Duty is forcing me to quit the game.” In it, he compared COD to competitors such as Valorant and CS:GO, noting that the quality level of their servers and ranked matches is significantly higher.
He also stated that Black Ops 6 was “dead on arrival” and accused the developers of a lack of serious investment in supporting the franchise. Other streamers and players, including Nickmercs, are also leaving the game, emphasizing that without significant changes, Call of Duty faces a further decline in popularity.
According to Steam Charts data as of December 28, the game peaked at 111,603 players, whereas in November more than 300,000 users played daily. If the quality issues are not addressed, the number will continue to drop.
