Asmongold compared Elon Musk’s behavior “to his ex.” The scandal around Path of Exile 2 is gaining momentum

One of the most high-profile internet conflicts in recent times is a war of words between streamer Asmongold and billionaire Elon Musk. It all started with accusations against Musk: he is suspected of using “boosting” services to reach level 97 in Path of Exile 2.

The rumors spread across the web, sparking a wave of mockery as well as drawing attention to Musk’s other “gaming achievements.”

Asmongold didn’t stay on the sidelines. During one of his streams, he proposed a challenge: to stream on the X platform every day for a year if Musk could prove that the allegations were false. Asmongold believes that the “boosting” rumors are not that far from the truth.

Musk responded promptly and with his characteristic audacity. On social media, he not only rejected the accusations, but also criticized Asmongold:

“Asmon acts like an independent rebel, but in reality he has to ask his boss for permission for any action. He is not an independent person.”

Musk didn’t stop there, though. He hinted at the superiority of his gaming skills:

“I participate in hundreds of streams on YouTube and Twitch, playing with the best gamers in the world. What can I say, Asmon is good at sarcastic comments, but he doesn’t know how to play.”

The situation escalated when Musk published direct messages with Asmongold on the X platform. Although the content of the messages was nothing sensational, the act itself sparked a wave of criticism. Private messages are considered confidential information, and even Musk is no exception to the unwritten rule.

Asmongold reacted with irony. He compared Musk’s actions to the behavior of a disgruntled ex-girlfriend:

“I think he soft-blocked me — banned me first, and then unbanned me so I wouldn’t follow him anymore. The last time that happened to me was with my ex.”

Online observers are actively discussing the situation, sharing memes and trying to figure out how the conflict will end. One thing is clear: the dispute has turned into a real show followed by millions.
