“One god weekly until August.” Smite 2 developers plan rapid game development

Hi-Rez Studios has announced plans to release one new god every week in Smite 2, at least until August 2025. The developers are aiming for rapid content expansion and an influx of both new and returning players.

Unlike the first installment, where the number of available gods exceeds 100, they plan to add 28 more characters to the second version of the game at this stage. The studio emphasizes that most of them will be brought over from the original game, eliminating the risk of serious imbalance.

Still, some users worry that this approach could cause issues. On the other hand, experienced Smite 1 players are familiar with most gods, which makes it convenient for them. It is worth noting that Smite 2 features upgraded graphics and mechanics to ensure more enjoyable gameplay.

Hi-Rez will closely monitor player feedback and make adjustments if necessary.

Currently, Smite 2 offers several modes, including Conquest, Arena, and Assault, alongside other innovations such as an improved item purchasing system and additional hero customization options.
