While during the advanced access period on Steam the concurrent player count surpassed 13,000, on the standard edition release day Avowed reached a peak of 17,171 concurrent players according to SteamDB. For comparison, Obsidian Entertainment’s previous RPG, The Outer Worlds, achieved a peak of 20,349 concurrent players on the platform.
Avowed is also available via PC Game Pass, which likely drew away a portion of players from Steam. Additionally, new games tend to see increased player activity over their first weekend post-launch, so the number of people playing could rise slightly in the coming days.
At the time of this writing, the game holds an 81% positive review rating based on 2,660 reviews.
Avowed is available on Xbox Series X/S and PC.
