A modder going by the handle The Wailing Bard decided to add an additional subclass for the Rogue to Baldur's Gate 3. The project was titled “The Surgeon - A Rogue Subclass”.
The Wailing Bard spoke about the subclass and mechanics details:
“Studious and knowledgeable in anatomy, the Surgeon can administer potions to allies and cripple enemies with their knives. Based on the work of LaserLlama [who creates content for D&D 5e].
The Surgeon uses their knowledge of anatomy to maim enemies with surgical precision: they have an expanded crit range and can replace Sneak Attack damage with a suite of debuffs. The Surgeon can also administer healing potions [hurl them at high speed]. Don't worry: potions thrown this way don't harm allies, and I'm sure this is the standard way to prescribe medicine.” The Surgeon will also be immune to disease.
