A large shipment of Nintendo Switch 2 has already been sent to North America — rumor

There are only a few weeks left until the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct presentation, which will reveal details about the upcoming console. One of the biggest questions surrounding the Switch 2 is when the console will hit store shelves. According to a new report, Nintendo is preparing to launch the console in the near future.

The information comes from user LiC on the Famiboards forum. According to their details, Vietnamese manufacturer HVBG produced and shipped over 383,000 Switch 2 units. These devices were shipped to North America in January and are intended for distribution across the US and Canada. In addition to the consoles themselves, LiC reported that HVBG also shipped 41,598 units of Joy-Con charging grips.

If the news is accurate, it is a strong indication that Nintendo plans to release the Switch 2 sooner rather than later. Exactly how it unfolds is hard to say, and several more shipments will likely be made before then.

Official news about the Nintendo Switch 2 will arrive on April 2, 2025, during a dedicated Switch 2 livestream.
