The success of The Elder Scrolls 6 will not protect Bethesda from internet haters — studio veteran's view

The wait for The Elder Scrolls 6 has been going on for many years now. Perhaps even a successful release of the game will not go smoothly for the Bethesda team.

TES V Skyrim has been delighting gamers for many years, but some would already like to see The Elder Scrolls 6. Recently, the topic of the future release of TES 6 was brought up by an experienced developer.

According to Bethesda veteran Nate Purkeypile, who worked on Fallout 3 and 4, Skyrim, and Starfield — online harassment is practically inevitable for Bethesda developers:

“Even if The Elder Scrolls 6 is a great game, I’m sure all those hour-long YouTube videos and death threats will appear again.”

The developer also voiced his opinion:

“If you release a game that people don’t like, the internet will treat you like you’re clubbing baby seals.”
