Assassin's Creed Shadows starts getting slammed on Metacritic, but haters face fan resistance

Even before its release, Assassin's Creed Shadows provoked a less-than-positive reaction from some gamers. Now they have taken the opportunity to speak out about the game on Metacritic.

Recently, players gained the ability to leave reviews for Assassin's Creed Shadows on Metacritic. The final score turned out to be lower than the one given by game journalists (81 out of 100).

The average user score for Assassin's Creed Shadows after more than 1,500 reviews stands at 5.7 out of 10 points. Some individuals are rating it “0 out of 10” and actively criticizing the agenda. Nevertheless, there is also an exact opposite trend — rating it “10 out of 10” and actively praising the project.

For example, Mizuch commented:

“The game is a masterpiece, 30/10. Just as good as Ghost of Tsushima, and I am glad to see how this game made a bunch of racists ["rage"].”

As a result, the breakdown of user ratings for Assassin's Creed Shadows on Metacritic is roughly as follows:

  • 800+ “positive” reviews (51%)
  • 90+ “mixed” (6%)
  • 670+ “negative” (43%)
