The transition from the current versions to the PS5 and Xbox versions is free for players already playing Black Desert on consoles, who will be able to transfer their progress and characters.
On the same day, Black Desert will drop support for PS4 and Xbox One. Pearl Abyss’s transition is “partially due to hardware limitations that make it difficult to deliver the newest content,” in order to “improve stability and performance for players.”
In addition to improving graphics quality and performance of Black Desert on consoles, Pearl Abyss mentions “new content, including Ulukita and Deadeye,” but players will have to wait for more detailed information.
