INNO Studio has introduced a rather unusual controller called Playtiles, which can turn a mobile device running Android or iOS into a kind of handheld console.
We are talking about an on-screen overlay that adds a D-pad and two buttons between your fingers and the touch controls. Playtiles dimensions are 6.8 cm x 4 cm x 0.2 cm (weight – six grams).
The controller attaches to the display using a special surface. It comes with a bundle of games (plus the option to download more than 1,300 other various titles).
To access the gaming environment for Playtiles, you will need to scan a specific QR code. This will open a catalog website, where you can launch the game you like via the browser without downloading.
Right now, the turquoise Playtiles can be pre-ordered for 12 euros (around 1,100-1,200 rubles), the red one with a game collection – for 23.5 euros (around 2,200-2,300 rubles), and the yellow along with the black one and a game collection – for 46.7 euros (around 4,300 rubles). The controller is expected to be released in the fourth quarter of 2025.
