According to Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier, 80 people have been laid off from Cloud Chamber, which is developing the new BioShock — a third of the studio's total employees.
According to Schreier, the project was originally scheduled for release in 2027, but due to recent reshuffles, the development timeline could be seriously delayed. The management of 2K, which owns Cloud Chamber, demanded that the team rework key aspects of the game.
It was previously announced that Rod Fergusson, a veteran of the gaming industry who has had a hand in many games, including BioShock Infinite, was appointed as the head of Cloud Chamber.
