- The Dune: Awakening update plan includes major free updates, divided into books and chapters, and paid add-ons. Most often, new chapters are released simultaneously with add-ons.
- "Chapter 2" is the first major update to the game. The story continues immediately after the events of the first chapter. There will be new locations, familiar and new characters, secrets and mysteries of the Empire. New contacts, random events, armor, character customization options and much more will appear.
- "Lost Loot" (paid add-on). A downed Guild freighter was carrying cargo that could change the life of Arrakis. The player's task is to find it. The add-on includes unique cosmetic items, a wheel tractor with animations and improvements. New transport and cosmetics do not give an advantage in the game. There are color schemes for armor and weapons, a "Melanger" construction set for decorating the base. The cost of the add-on is $12.99, it is included in the season pass ($24.99) with two other add-ons.
- Free trial version. A 10-hour trial version is available until August 24. Players will be able to explore Arrakis, Harko Village and the desert, build bases and transport, and complete the story. Trial version characters cannot play with owners of the full game, but progress is saved upon purchase.
- In-game event and live broadcast. Before "Chapter 2", a new conflict will begin, leading to the events of the update. A live broadcast with the developers will reveal details of the update and add-on.
