Frontier Developments has released a major free update for Elite Dangerous after a long break. The update is called Vanguards and is the first step in returning to active support for the game.
The main innovation concerns the squadron system, which has long been neglected. Now groups of pilots have their own bank, allowing them to easily share resources, items, and even ships.
The developers have also completely redesigned the squadron browser, which should simplify the search and organization of teams.
