Recently, Team Cherry finally announced the release date for Hollow Knight Silksong. While some players are happy about the upcoming release, some are starting to choose a new release date for their projects.
The authors of Faeland fromTalegames decided to postpone the release of the full version of the game:
"Version 1.0 was scheduled for release on September 9, but after the announcement of the release date of Hollow Knight: Silksong - September 4, we made the difficult decision to postpone our release. It was not an easy decision. We have put years of work and love into Faeland and want to make sure the game comes out at a time when it can get the attention it deserves. We will announce a new release date in the near future. Thank you very much for your understanding and for being with us on this journey, it really means a lot to us".
Silksong also affected the plans of Aeternum Game Studios (Aeterna Lucis):
"We originally planned to release the game in September of this year, but after the Silksong announcement, we fully realized that our game would not receive due attention. Competing with a phenomenon of this magnitude would be unfair not only to the efforts of our team, but also to you, the community, who are waiting to experience this adventure in the best possible conditions.
In addition, we still do not have all the necessary development kits to ensure simultaneous release on all next-generation platforms. To be honest, we believe that the best solution for everyone would be to step back and release Aeterna Lucis at the right time. Therefore, we made the difficult but necessary decision to postpone the release until 2026".
