It is known that early access will start on November 4, 2025 on PC. The game will be tested for several months, and in 2026 a full version 1.0 will be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Windstorm is already being described as an "equestrian SnowRunner". Players will cross the Mongolian steppes, mountains and the Gobi Desert, delivering goods and parcels in the scenery of the XIII century. Instead of cars, there are horses of different breeds. By developing and crossbreeding them, you can get animals that are better able to withstand snow, sandstorms or heavy climbs.
There is no combat element in the game - all attention is paid to overcoming difficult routes. The bow is only used for hunting. Players in the comments under the videos are already noting the realism of what is happening in the game.
The project is created by a studio known for Police Simulator and Ambulance Life. Previously, the developers had already worked with the theme of horse riding in Windstorm: Start of a Great Friendship, and the new part became the result of accumulated experience.
