The project received a "T" (Teen) rating for blood and violence. The mark recently appeared on the game's eShop page. There is no exact release date yet, but the launch has already been confirmed for the end of 2025.
The news coincided with Nintendo's plans to show the game for the first time at Gamescom and Fan Expo Canada. The opportunity to personally try out Metroid Prime 4 will be an important step: from years of rumors, the game is moving to the real stage of release. Receiving the rating complements the picture of preparing a large-scale advertising campaign with demonstrations and expanded participation of the company in fan exhibitions.
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is being developed by Retro Studios and will be released on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. The plot will continue the story of Samus Aran, who explores the planet Vyros and gains new psionic abilities. Nintendo has stated that the project will retain the key features of the Metroid Prime series, offering new mechanics.
