Photographer Tanuki and cosplayer iChios presented a new cosplay based on Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, dedicated to Sophie — the victim of Gommage, whose death marked the beginning of the tragic expedition.
Photographer Valeria «Tanuki» Gegel prepared a gift for fans of the role-playing game universe Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, which managed to win the hearts of many players and introduce people to a rather unusual reality where the mysterious Artist reigns.
During her photo shoot, cosplayer iChios appeared as Sophie – a resident of the island city of Lumière and Gustave's beloved.
Sophie embodies the hope and despair of the world in which people have to live. She dies at the very beginning of the game because of Gommage.
Sophie's death becomes a personal tragedy for Gustave, turning his expedition from an abstract mission to save the world into a personal revenge and a desire to find answers.
Thus, Sophie – is not a companion character, but a tragic victim whose death is the starting point of the plot. It is her death, not her life, that gives the story depth and a personal touch
