The first opinions coincide — this seems to be the best port ever prepared for the Nintendo platform.
According to Digital Foundry, players can expect "literally the most beautiful game on Switch 2."
"At the moment, this is the most beautiful game I have seen on Switch 2. It ran smoothly at 30 frames per second, the motion blur was excellent, it looked fantastic. The performance remained completely stable. The game looked as good, and I would even say better, than on PS4. It's somewhere between the PS4 and PS5 versions. The image quality was outstanding. Everything looked great, perfectly suited to the 1080p screen. I was very pleased."
The Switch 2 will feature the Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade version, which includes the original game and the EPISODE INTERmission expansion with an additional storyline. The release is scheduled for the end of 2025.
