AYN has kept its promise and opened sales today for the Thor handheld and clamshell console with two screens.
Currently, thanks to the "Early Bird" promotion, a version of this device with 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB of internal memory, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chip can be purchased for $249 (20,006 rubles), with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip and 8 GB + 128 GB – for $299 (24,024 rubles).
People wishing to take the 8Gen2 and 12 GB + 256 GB option will have to pay $349 (28,041 rubles), with 16 GB + 1 TB – $429 (34,469 rubles).
Retail prices are as follows: SD865 and 8 GB +128 GB – $259 (20,810 rubles), 8Gen 2 and 8 GB + 128 GB – $309 (24,827 rubles), 8Gen 2 and 12 GB + 256 GB – $359 (28,844 rubles), 8Gen 2 and 16 GB + 1 TB – $459 (36,879 rubles). This console will begin shipping from mid-October 2025.
There are four versions of Thor to choose from – Lite, Base, Pro, Max. The main screen is a 6-inch AMOLED (or OLED) display, resolution – 1080*1920, refresh rate – 120 Hz, brightness – 650 nits, contrast ratio – 100,000:1, color gamut – 152% sRGB.
Lower screen specifications: 3.92-inch AMOLED (or OLED) display, resolution – 1080*1240, refresh rate – 60 Hz, brightness – 550 nits, contrast ratio – 100,000:1, color gamut – 150% sRGB.
The Base, Pro, and Max versions of the device received a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, Adreno 740@680MHz graphics processor, active cooling, LPDDR5x@4200MHz RAM (8GB | 12GB | 16GB), UFS4.0 internal memory (128GB | 256GB | 1TB), a 6000 mAh battery (charging speed – 27 Watts), Wi-Fi 7 and BT5.3, USB 3.1 Type C, 3.5mm audio jack, TF card slot, DisplayPort 4Kp60 Alt Mode video output, and Android 13 OS.
The Lite version of the AYN Thor has a Snapdragon 865 chip, Adreno 650@587MHz graphics processor, LPDDR4x@2133MHz RAM (8GB), UFS3.1 internal memory (128GB), active cooling, a 6000 mAh battery, Wi-Fi 6, BT5.1, DisplayPort 1080p Alt Mode video output, Android 13 OS, USB 3.1 Type C, 3.5mm audio jack, TF card slot.
