Supercell has revealed a new Brawl Stars logo, which will appear with the update in early September. The developers explained that the old logo began to look outdated and too complex compared to modern games, and it needs to be updated to better convey Brawl's identity.
The reason for updating the logo is that the previous design did not reflect the essence of the brand. The team emphasized: "Brawl is the core of the brand and the most recognizable part of the name," but in the old logo, "the first thing that catches the eye is Stars due to the dominant color and font size."
The complexity of the old logo created problems: "many elements put together made it difficult to read in different sizes and contexts." This hindered its use in advertising, merchandise, and collaborations. Also, the design was outdated compared to modern brands, and the app icon with the skull creates a visual mismatch.
The new logo solves these problems while preserving the game's legacy. The developers noted: "We didn't want to throw away the legacy of the old logo," emphasizing that this is an update, not a rebranding. Several options were tested, from minor adjustments to bold redesigns, and the new design received the best feedback from test groups.
Before finalizing, the team made minor adjustments, preserving key elements: the skull, colors, and font style.
